About UNOPS and the Role
UNOPS is part of the United Nations, helping implement projects for peace, humanitarian aid, and development worldwide. In Nepal, we have worked on rebuilding after the 2015 earthquake, improving police services, and supporting disaster relief efforts.
Currently, we are working on the Security and Justice Programme (SJP) funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This programme (2023-2027) aims to:
- Improve security and justice services.
- Strengthen government institutions at different levels.
- Reduce gender-based violence (GBV).
Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain project documents, records, and reports.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and events.
- Track project deadlines and provide status updates.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and financial planning.
- Support risk management by maintaining a risk register.
- Prepare materials for meetings and external engagements.
- Assist in communication with donors and partners.
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in international relations, public administration, social sciences, or economics is an asset and may substitute required experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years in an administrative or project support role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with UNOPS procedures is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Language:
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
