About Support Nepal: Support Nepal (SNP) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working to reduce injustice and inequality among poor and marginalized groups. Since 1996, SNP has focused on helping communities and creating processes to include these groups in society.
Project Overview: SNP is running a project called "Empowerment for Peaceful and Inclusive Communities in Nepal" (EMPOWER). The project is being carried out in:
- Matihani Municipality, Mahottari District
- Dhanauji Rural Municipality, Dhanusha District
The goal of this project is to improve the abilities of local institutions, promote inclusive policies, and ensure women and marginalized groups are well-represented in local planning and resource sharing.
Job Position: Field Coordinator (FC) - 1
- Duty Station: Dhanauji Rural Municipality, Dhanusha District, Madhesh Province.
- Contract Duration: Starting in March 2025. The initial contract is for one year, with a chance for extension.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Science, Development Studies, Education, International Development, Law, or any other relevant field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
- The candidate should have a strong understanding of government systems and policies, particularly related to Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), and experience working closely with local government and communities.
